The Persean League Grand Prix is an endurance race of seventeen stages, and the course leads contestants through most of the civilised core worlds of the Persean Sector. Each leg takes racers to a new part of the Sector, and faces them with different obstacles and challenges that test the resilience of race ships, and the abilities of their crews, to the very limits. Only the most resourceful and adaptive crews will take home victory in this ultimate sport.

Stage Six takes place in the Magec star system, one of the shortest yet most gruelling stages of the rally which pits competing ships in a head-to-head sprint directly through the thickest portion of Guayota's Disk. Here, the ring system is plagued by debris fragments, meteors and asteroids, often moving at huge relative speeds and threatening to flatten any unprepared ship that dares to venture into their path - doubly dangerous since the course of the race guides ships retrograde against the orbit of such objects. Pilots sport the most intense concentration in order to avoid collisions here, and engineering crews are worked overtime to keep their ship's maneuvering systems from overheating. This stage is infamous as the one that always proves that the PLGP is not for the faint of heart.

Towards the end of the leg, several contestants have already been knocked out of contention due to impact damage, overloaded engines, or just a lack of willpower to take on the challenge of Stage Six. Stoic in the face of danger, your ship has pressed on, and now you and the nearest remaining racers are closing in on the end of the stage, race timers ticking to the finish. Reach the edge of the asteroid field and fly through the gate to stop the timer ahead of the competition - ideally in one piece.
